FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is a Premium Ticket?
With a VIP ticket, you’ll get a premium patch in the first 9 rows of the event, giving you prime access to the artists you love - at a great distance.
What is a Family Ticket?
With a family ticket, you’ll get a patch for 2 adults and 2 children at a reduced price. Note: Family tickets are only available in 4 person patches.
What if I only want 1, 3 or 5 tickets?
Visitors wanting 1, 3 or 5 tickets would need to purchase a patch for 2, 4 or 6 people respectively, and either enjoy more space or invite another person to join the fun!
We have a group of more than 6, how do we book?
Groups larger than six will need to book at least two separate patches. Using our booking system, you’ll be able to select the event you’d like to attend, and choose picnic patches next or nearby to each other.
Can I buy tickets at the gate?
Sure! Tickets will be available at the on-site box office, unless the concert has sold out.
Though, we recommend booking in advance on our website.
I can no longer make it, can I get a refund for my tickets?
Summer Sounds tickets are non-refundable unless the concert is cancelled, in which case a refund will be admissioned to each ticket-holder.
What time should I arrive?
Gates open at 6pm. We recommend a swift arrival to ease congestion and traffic around the site.
What if it rains?
Summer Sounds will go ahead in all weathers, come rain or shine. Refunds will not be available for those who cancel due to the weather. Remember, there’s no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing!
Are children allowed and do they have to be accompanied?
Yes! Summer Sounds is a 100% family-friendly event. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or above. Visitors who are accompanied by children are responsible for supervising them at all times.
Please note that one child, 5 years and under are allowed to come for no charge.
What do I need to bring?
Seating: We want you to be on your feet, not on a seat! But, when you need a break from the belting and boogieing, you’ll need somewhere to relax. Note: seating is not included with a regular Summer Sounds ticket.
Appropriate Clothing: While we’ve got our fingers crossed for some beautiful August sun, it’s worth preparing for the unexpected - it is Britain after all. We generally recommend bringing weather-appropriate clothing like hoodies, raincoats and brollies in case the worst does happen.
Identification: We operate a Challenge 25 Policy for the purchase of alcohol on our premises. We advise that you bring ID if you intend on buying drinks from our bars.
Tickets: The big one. Make sure to bring along a copy of your ticket and the QR code for us to scan. WiFi signal isn’t guaranteed on site, so we recommend bringing an additional printed out version of your ticket if you can
Can I bring my own food?
Absolutely. You’re welcome to bring your own food to the event, but please remember to be respectful and clear all rubbish from your picnic patch afterwards. There will be a variety of food and drinks available to purchase at all venues, providing delicious options for all tastes. So why not leave the hassle at home?
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Unfortunately, we do not allow alcohol to be brought into our event. A range of premium alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will be available from our bars.
What can’t I bring?
For the safety of our ticket-holders, bag searches will be conducted upon arrival to any Summer Sounds venue. Any items which we deem to be illegal or offensive will be confiscated and you may be asked to leave.
Alongside alcohol, fires, barbecues, camping stoves, gazebos, tents, windbreakers, drones, professional cameras, flares, fireworks, candles or any naked flames are not permitted into any Summer Sounds venue.
We also run a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on drug use on site, including legal and herbal highs.
Can I camp at the grounds?
Camping is not an option at any of the Summer Sounds venues. If you’re looking for accommodation, we recommend checking out local hotels or AirBnbs nearby.
COVID-19 POLICY
Summer Sounds concerts are designed with our audiences at heart, so they can have the peace of mind to enjoy live music outdoors in a safe, responsible and hassle-free environment. We continually monitor the Government guidance on Covid-19, and our events will always be in line with the latest regulations.
Ticket holders will have their own designated picnic patch which will be socially distanced from others but close enough to share the energy with the rest of the crowd. The patches will be defined by painted lines in our grass arena and are available for two (W1.5 x D1.5m), four (W2.0 x D1.5m) and six people (W2.5 x D2.0m) set out in alternating rows. The patches will be one metre apart within each row, with two-metre aisles between the rows.
Entry to Summer Sounds
We will implement socially-distanced queuing at the entrance, as necessary. Visitors will be encouraged to use hand sanitisers as they enter and leave the site, and are welcome to wear face coverings at their discretion.
One-way system
Depending on government guidelines at the time, we may be operating a one-way system around the arena. All the aisles will be 2m wide and there will be a 1m gap between picnic patches.
Toilets
We will be using mobile individual Portaloos. They may not be as smart as the luxury WC’S we would normally use but they allow for social distancing and will be regularly cleaned.
What health & safety is in place?
We run a tight ship at Summer Sounds 2022. If you’re in need of health and safety support, our high-vis wearing team will be on hand to help. You’ll also be able to find our health and safety tent, positioned at the back of the arena.
General
Customers who are accompanied by children are responsible for supervising them at
all times and ensuring they follow social distancing guidelines.
All staff will regularly use hand gel.
Contactless payments will be actively encouraged at Summer Sounds.
